Growing herbs from seed

This year, I am growing many herbs from seed and basil is one of them!  This picture is about 2 weeks after adding the seeds to the soil. Here in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania we have had great weather over the past few weeks to facilitate the growing process!  I love growing basil because it tastes great in so many of my favorite summer foods. Pasta, salads, and other yummy dishes call for fresh basil and I’ll go straight to the garden for the ingredients! Once the garden is more mature, I’ll share some photos of the tasty meals that I make from the bountiful herb harvest!
